In October of 2007, Genes Diffusion and IMV Technologies signed a letter of intent.
As of January 31st, 2008 there has been a definitive agreement concerning the transfer,
by GENES DIFFUSION to IMV Technologies of all of its branch activities related to
equipment and consumables in the field of swine artificial insemination on the international
level.
Starting February 1st 2008, IMV Technologies will handle the distribution of the
following products and technologies:
- The insemination catheter Gédis, as well as the related filling equipment,
- The complete range of extenders for the swine semen. (Gedil, Gedil Light and Biodil),
- Collectis, the unique system of automated boar collection.
In the French and Belgian territories, Genes Diffusion will continue to distribute
the above products, completed by the non exclusive distribution of the swine range
of products from IMV Technologies (blister bags, AI catheters, extenders, packing
machines and laboratory equipment).
Along with this agreement are the plans to establish a long-term partnership allowing
both groups to accelerate their growth quickly by developing new products in reproduction
biotechnologies.
This agreement will allow both companies to optimize their strategy on their own
core business and to build a strong privileged partnership. This synergy between
both groups will increase the emergence of new products and new technologies to
the advantage of the customers and the distributors of both companies while respecting
existing commitments.
