Anderstrup Roumare Bahama – EX90 at 2 years in Denmark

Within the last few weeks the bull dam Anderstrup Roumare Bahama has gone from being an interesting potential bull dam, to being a real star with high indexes, show success and a really high classification. She recently scored EX-90 with 90 for her superb mammary system.

Anderstrup Roumare Bahama is very famous since her Grand Champion title at SkiveSome years ago Dueholm Breeding bought the popular bull dam Ford-daughter Bahama through Diamond Genetics. Interest was huge in this cow, and she was contracted for bulls and embryos from all over Europe.

Anderstrup Holsteins bought Roumare embryos from her, resulting in a bull which went to England and a lovely heifer while Dueholm Breeding did not get any pregnancies from this flush. After seing Bahama going VG87 in her 3rd lactation and her daughters by Sharky and Zenith develop at the farm, Martin Rasmussen from Dueholm Breeding became convinced that this Roumare should be with the rest of the family, to really prove the qualities of the family. Bahama is still alive and going dry now waiting to begin her 4th. lactation.

ROUMARERoumare Bahama is now working hard in her lactation with more than 40 kgM with good components (RIP: 68 days / 2.739 kg / 3.8%F / 3.4%P). Besides this, the classifier was enthusiastic about her and gave her the superb 2 years old score of EX-90 with EX-90 MS. Last weekend, she participated at the MidtWest Farmshow in Skive, where she went on to become 2 years old Champion and Grand Champion of the show! The judge was impressed with her fine feet and legs with clean bones and her well developed body for such a young cow and on top of that her picture perfect udder. She was furthermore given 24 points in the danish show system as the only cow at this show!

Roumare Bahama will now enter in a flush program to fulfill contracts. She has been contracted by everyone who have seen her so far.
