Genes Diffusion was present at the international agriculture fair Belagro 2012
First participation of Genes Diffusion on Belarusian Agricultural Fair – BELAGRO
2012. 22nd International Trade Fair specialized in agricultural technics and animal
husbandry took place from 5 to 10 June in Minsk. This event with strong support
of Belarusian Ministry of Agriculture counted more than 30 000 visitors and more
than 400 exhibitors from 18 countries.
Genes Diffusion with its Russian partner Uralplemcenter
participated as exhibitor in large common French stand organized by ADEPTA.
The agriculture in Belarus has developed well in the past decade. The country is
a traditionally strong agricultural producer in Central Eastern Europe. The Tariff
Union of Belarus with the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan offers new sales markets.
Belarus has tradition in exportation of its dairy and meat products but also machinery.
Agriculture and the agro industries thus are promising future branches of a market
that is located well to become a bridge between EU countries and the growing markets
of the Russian Federation and Central Asia.
There are more than 1 million cows in Belarus with still an important possibility
of genetic progress. Therefore genomic selection program of Genes Diffusion and
first experience of its using by Uralplemcenter in Russia interested our potential
new partners in this country. The fact that Genes Diffusion is building up very
strong and sustainable partnership with Uralplemcenter in Russian Federation gives
much confidence to the Belarusian state companies for whom Russia remains naturally
traditional partner in trade.
