Genes Diffusion certified by ISAG

Genes Diffusion received the official confirmation of ISAG certification (International Society of Animals Genetics), attesting to the ability of the platform GD SCAN, based at the Pasteur Institute in Lille, to make VCG (Genetics Compatibility Verification) for its own account or on behalf of third parties. Specifically, the laboratory will now have the opportunity to certify the parentage by SNP (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism), previously made on the basis of micro-satellites.

The evaluation by the ISAG of genotyping performed by Genes Diffusion has been excellent since the GD SCAN platform got the best possible rating, in both absolute genotyping and related genotyping.

This certification follows the steps taken in December 2013 and the successful examination passed in spring 2014.

However, a number of actions still need to be done at national level for Genes Diffusion to be able to achieve its first VCG, the beginning of next year.
