On Saturday May 21st and Sunday May 22nd 2011, the Charolais breeders of Equator assembled at Macas, capital of the province of Morono Santiago… in Amazonia. For the occasion, Patrick REVERSÉ, Manager of the Charolais Optimal program, had been invited to judge the Charolais Show.

Charolais ShowLocated at 360 km from Quito and at an altitude of 1000 m, descending the Andes on the Amazonia side, Macas each year welcomes two Charolais shows, the first one in May within the scope of the Macas Trade Fair, and the second in November on the occasion of the Provincial Fair.

During the show in May, the Charolais Optimal genetics were largely represented with, amongst others, males and females by IBOB, LAUREL, NELSON, PINAY, … between which Patrick REVERSÉ had to make his choice in the ring on Sunday.

Afterwards ELISSE also became Reserve Champion.

SEPADEMG, the company that represents Charolais Optimal and is located at Macas, has used this manifestation to show the products of the Charolais Optimal bulls nicely lined up next to their stand: 4 calves from imported embryos, three bulls and one female (according to the genetic combinations mentioned before).
