Grand Slam in Hungary

On Thursday, May 10, 2018, the Hungarian Charolais National Competition was held in Hódmezővásárhely. A Charolais breeder from Nièvre, Mr. Gilles MARTIN, mandated by the Charolais Herd Book, was the sole judge. His judgment acclaimed the Charolais Optimal genetics, the origin of all the trophies with a son of SUEDOIS and a daughter of TEMPO.

When we congratulate him for his results, Mr. Sandor PAPP of the ABAUJ PAPP Charolais KFT breeding emphasizes that in insemination he uses 90% of Genes Diffusion genetics. This breeding has beautifully succeeded with its 17 animals presented :

  • A granddaughter of TOULON, 15 months old, and first of her section.
  • A granddaughter of TAMILLY, 24 months old, ranks 1st in her section.
  • A cow - daughter of TEMPO, 8 years old, Female Champion and Grand Champion of the competition.
  • Another daughter of TEMPO, 14 years old, is 2nd in her section just behind the champion.
  • A son of FIRST, 16 months old and 3rd of his section.
  • A son of ISIDOR PP x POPCORN, 15 months old and 1st of his section and will remain in the running until the end for the title of champion of the bulls.

Mr György NEMETH, CHAROLAIS FARM KFT breeding, presented a 20-month-old daughter of VIRGIL P, ranked 2nd in her section and full of promises for the future according to Mr MARTIN.

The NEMA KFT breeding has been crowned champion of the bulls with a son of SUEDOIS, 6 years old, very complete with many breed qualities.

Obviously, French genetics is still appreciated with excellent results for the descendants of Genes Diffusion bulls and an ever-increasing interest for polled sires (there were 2 daughters of CARNOT P, 2 daughters of VIRGIL P and 2 sons of ISIDOR PP on the show).
